Sr Marketing Manager, Business Partner
Reporting to the Marketing Director, the Sr Marketing Manager, Business Partner will be accountable for leading the marketing strategy and implementation for a program of co-marketing initiatives with our strategic vendor partners. Provides strategic direction and execution of Marketing related events and regional initiatives with a strategic focus on attracting new customers, building greater loyalties with existing customers, and contributing to sales growth through customer experiences with Wolseley.
This highly collaborative position will work closely with many stakeholders within the marketing team, other functional areas, operational partners, field sales teams, while supporting the Director in achieving cross functional priorities

What you will do:

  • Strategic partner to the business, contributing to a cross-functional internal stakeholder team.
  • Lead strategies informed by a deep understanding of customer insights, business objectives, Field, and Vendor Partner feedback.
  • Develops comprehensive marketing briefs and plans, partners with key cross functional team members and ensures excellence in the execution of programmed events and activities as well as strategic regional initiatives.
  • Ensures all regional marketing-related activities are undertaken with a clear tie to the organization’s corporate values and objectives.
  • Liaise with eBusiness & Marketing Partners, Insights, Category and Operations to identify growth opportunities and develop recommendations to enhance the evolution and implementation of marketing programs and events.
  • Collaborates as an active member of the overall marketing group and ensures valuable insights and perspectives from the regions are considered in all program execution.
  • Communicates regularly with both internal and external stakeholders and acts as the first point of contact for all regional marketing-related activity while fostering strong relationships.
  • Accountable for the negotiations and success of Wolseley’s Connects vendor program.
  • Manages and administers various vendor Coop-fund programs and ensures the thoughtful use of every earned dollar through events, activities, promotions & customer co-branding initiatives to attract new customers, build greater loyalty with existing customers, and maximize sales of the brand.
  • Owns and maintains program and event dashboards and periodically delivers performance metrics to the business and key Vendor Partners.
  • Accountable for ensuring the Wolseley Connects budget is managed in accordance with best practices.
  • Lead and mentor direct reports

What you will bring:

  • Minimum 10 years experience in progressive marketing-related roles
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, or a related field
  • A passionate marketer and team player with marketing and communications expertise, proven experience in strategy, hands-on execution, and project management.
  • Experience in executing customer events, virtual and in person, training and tradeshow focused.
  • High analytical with the ability to switch quickly between details and the “big picture.”
  • Experience in working with external agencies and sales teams.
  • Proven ability to develop people and teams with a view to improving employee engagement.
  • Strong written verbal and presentation skills
  • Creative problem solving with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Works well under pressure and can effectively and professionally manage multiple projects and stakeholders.
  • Can-do positive attitude, results-driven, curious. Motivated to foster team spirit and make an impact to the organization.
  • Bilingual is an asset.
  • Sales background an asset.
  • Ability to travel 25%.
