About the Role
Reporting to the External Affairs Marketing Director, this hands-on role is responsible for supporting the development and delivery of the marketing and communications strategic plans relating to the GSMA’s global mobile industry external affairs projects, in order to drive the achievement of the projects’ overall objectives and outcomes. This role is also responsible for delivering all aspects of the marketing and communications plan from digital marketing to representation at industry events. Another important element of the role is liaising with internal stakeholders, especially the External Affairs team and other parts of the Marketing team, in addition to external stakeholders such as mobile operators, vendors, project-specific partners and suppliers.
About You
You will be a marketing professional who has a notable track record of effectively delivering policy-related marketing activities across digital channels, social media, publications and events, and can demonstrate the ability to do so without supervision. In addition to managing hands-on delivery, you can demonstrate evidence of being able to contribute strategically, contributing to External Affairs longer term strategy.
You are able to devise effective marketing delivery plans within limited budgets and manage the execution thereof accordingly. In addition, you can demonstrate the ability to build and maintain strong, trusted and effective relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
Specifically, you will have extensive experience in working for or with mobile operators in relation to their External Affairs positions and writing related copy.
You are comfortable with, and ideally have experience of, working in a marketing agency-type model where, in order to deliver best-in-class solutions for customers, specialist skills across the entire marketing organisation need to be effectively and systematically coordinated and deployed.
