Responsibilities:
- Bring a radical thinking approach to design challenges and propose unconventional solutions.
- Create and develop detailed designs of solutions using industry-standard design tools and software.
- Ensure designs meet technical specifications, performance criteria, design standards and regulatory requirements.
- Interact with other disciplines to ensure compatible design details and avoid or resolve interferences or inconsistencies.
- Evaluates and troubleshoots problems, issues, or challenges in the design that may affect performance, manufacturing, quality, and safety of Group14 processes.
- Generate deliverables required for execution of projects/initiatives including but not limited to: project schedules, resource plans, technical specifications, and budgets; specifications, equipment and piping, documentation.
- Process design and detail engineering including performing process simulations, design calculations, process optimization, design drawings, sizing and selection of equipment.
- Developing engineering documents such as H&MB, process descriptions, P&ID’s, PFD’s, process specifications, equipment specifications, cause and effect diagrams, safe operating limits, shutdown philosophies, and functional narratives.
- Work with EPC contractors in all phases of project.
- Assist in construction and commissioning of process equipment.
- Develop and contribute manufacturing best practices as well as assist in manufacturing database design/management.
- Up to 20% travel required to support commercial sites globally.
