Senior Mechanical Engineer

My client is a long established privately owned building services consultancy with an excellent reputation across Ireland with repeat clients in various sectors. They work on a diverse and challenging range of projects across multiple sectors such as residential, industrial, pharmaceutical, educational and healthcare.
The successful candidate will join a team of technicians and engineers, reporting to the Directors. The candidate will be client focused and supported and mentored in their role with opportunities for growth and development, including further training. You will be involved in design of various projects from initial brief through scheme & detail design to installation and commissioning support. You will take ownership of projects becoming the key contact for relevant clients.

REQUIREMENTS OR SKILLS:

• Degree in Building Services Engineering / Mechanical Engineering
• Ideally 7-8 years + post graduate design experience with an engineering consultancy.
• Demonstrate experience in a client facing role with an appreciation and understanding of prompt and efficient resolution to client needs.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to lead projects.
• Knowledge & experience of current Design Guides and Building Regulations.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, experience in BIM/ Revit MEP advantageous, but not essential.
• Experience in Hevacomp and/ or IESVE advantageous, but not essential.
  The company operates a flexible working policy and the candidate can be based out of Dublin, Galway or Mullingar offices

• Design of systems including but not limited to ventilation, heating, cooling, domestic water services and above ground drainage to current regulations and design standards.
• Strong technical ability in all aspects of Mechanical Engineering Services & Design.
• Working directly with clients and project engineers to define project requirements and develop technical solutions.
• Working on projects from conception to completion.
