The job
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be an integral part of our cross-functional team, contributing to every stage of the development process within our robust stage gate model. From conceiving early-stage ideas to mass production, you’ll play a pivotal role in inventing and implementing cutting-edge technologies. Your role will involve collaboration with experts in Industrial Design, Materials, Simulation, and Production, ensuring a holistic approach to product development.
Your key responsibilities are
Designing new and inventive mechanical solutions
Systematic concept development and evaluation
Identifying functionality based on stakeholder needs and translating functions into specifications
Maintaining a high focus on sustainability and optimizing plastic parts
Planning, coordinating, and effectively managing tasks
Implementing Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for the job possesses several of the following qualifications:
B.Sc. or M.Sc. with speciality in Innovation, Mechanical Design, Product development or similar
Strong in both visual and oral communication
Strong analytical and theoretical skills, with the ability to apply these in practice
Proficiency in 3D CAD software, specifically SolidWorks or equivalent
Experience in design for injection molding and high-volume production
Expertise in robust design analysis and tolerance calculations
An analytic approach for data-driven decisions, ensuring high-quality deliverables
Strong cross-functional cooperation skills and a holistic perspective on product development
