Description:

Your mission
Implementation and execution of thermal and structural (shock, vibration) simulations of a complex quantum-technological system for a space application
Comparison of simulation results with real-world test results
Recommendation of design improvements based on the simulation results, in particular concerning heat management and structural reliability
Close interaction with engineering team (optics, electronics, mechanics, system engineering)
Your profile
Completed studies in mechanical engineering or precision engineering
3+ years work experience in CAD (SolidWorks) and FEM simulation, ideally also in heat management and material science
Knowledge of standards and documentation procedures of space industry
Basic experience with the development of optomechanical and optoelectronical systems
Very good English and German language skills both written and spoken
