With a growing volume of studies and projects, Lycopodium Process Industries is currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering team in Melbourne.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for producing proficient and accurate design outputs that are fit for purpose and in alignment with Project and Study requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct timely reviews of Project mechanical drawings to achieve full compliance with design intent.
- Perform and review engineering designs, including calculations and design development.
- Interpret engineering drawings, documents, specifications and scopes.
- Identify scope variations and prepare relevant documentation accordingly.
- Liaise with and provide professional support to the drafting team in the preparation of drawing deliverables.
- Develop technical documentation including scopes of work and specifications using relevant industry standards and guidelines.
- Review certified vendor documentation and disseminate the information to the appropriate personnel for interface checking.
- Maintain an understanding of the latest developments to Industry and Project specific codes, standards and related engineering matters.
- Proactively support other team members as required to ensure Project deliverables are met.
- Suggest methods to improve operational efficiency.
