Description:

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • You have minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on product design and development.
  • You have experience in the specification of both static and rotating mechanical equipment, low-pressure ducting, compressors, steam generation unit and heat exchangers.
  • You have a proven track record of successfully leading complex mechanical engineering projects from concept to execution.
  • You have experience in project design practices, including risk assessment and mitigations, understanding P&IDs, PFDs, ISO’s, pressure vessels and fired equipment design.

Responsibilities:

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will lead and contribute to the design, development, and implementation of innovative mechanical systems and components within commercial scale carbon capture plant. You will be the single point of contact representing the mechanical discipline during different stages of a project from. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in development of deliverables for equipment packages, provide technical assurance and ensuring the highest levels of quality and performance.
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for all project-related mechanical engineering deliverables of Svante’s licensing technology package for a specific project including mechanical datasheets, general plant layout and input to project capital/operational cost.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE IN THIS ROLE:

  • You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including process engineers, electrical engineers, and product designers to integrate mechanical components into overall system deliverables such as datasheets, PIDs.
  • You will review mechanical engineering deliverables and provides technical assurance during FEL-2, FEL-3 and execution.
  • You will evaluate and select materials, equipment manufacturer, to optimize cost, quality, and manufacturability.
  • You will generate and review technical documentation including specifications, drawings, and reports to communicate design concepts and requirements.
  • You will participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and project planning meetings to ensure alignment with project goals and timelines.
