The role. What will you do.
We are currently looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Auckland Water team and contribute to the design of various projects, including large municipal wastewater & water treatment plants, commercial onsite treatment systems, community treatment plants, and industrial trade waste treatment systems. Joining Mott MacDonald offers exciting opportunities to work with industry-leading professionals on a diverse range of water supply, wastewater, and sludge projects. You will also have the opportunity to build relationships with our global specialists to support your growth, nurture key client relationships, oversee project management and staff mentoring.
About You:
The ideal candidate should demonstrate proven experience in water/wastewater/industrial treatment projects, with expertise in mechanical engineering for both new and existing treatment plants. A degree in mechanical engineering is required, and Chartered Engineering status (or progress towards it) is preferred. Additionally, you should exhibit a proactive approach to design, a drive for innovation to add value, excellent client liaison and communication skills, and a strong team-orientated ethos, fostering collaboration with both internal teams and clients as well as the supply chain.
