Senior Mechanical Technician (Pre-Commissioning & Commissioning)

• Lead, drive & supervise a team of mechanical technicians for site execution of pre-commissioning, commissioning and function testing of mechanical equipment and vendor equipment packages on the topsides.
• Conduct daily Tool Box Talk to Mechanical technicians to ensure full understanding of work scope as per PTW requirements.
• Liaise with vendor for providing assistance in carrying out pre-commissioning and commissioning scope of work related to vendor packages.
• Site management of commissioning shipped-loose items, consumables, and spares.
• Ensure that commissioning testing activities are conducted safely and complies with the site PTW and safety regulations and procedures.
• Carry out troubleshooting of faults arising during commissioning tests.
• Submission of commissioning documentation such as checksheets, test procedures, red-line mark-up drawings, etc. completed during commissioning tests.
• Verification of As-commissioned and red-line as-built documents together with agreed punch list items.
• Issuance of daily timesheet and progress report.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Diploma / Trade Certificate in Mechanical Engineering with min. 8 years’ experience in oil & gas facilities with knowledge of rotary and static equipment.
• Experience in commissioning of Pumps / Piping systems / Utility packages / cranes / mechanical handling equipment / HVAC, etc.
• Able to read and interpret documents such as operating manuals, instructions and procedures, safety precautions, etc.
• Knowledge of various alignment tools (Laser Tools, Dial Gauges) and methods (Face & Rim, Reverse alignment, Laser alignment).
• Experience and understanding of Project Completion Management Procedure such as MC-ITRs, PC-ITRs, and PIMS-CMS database is an added advantage.
• Good leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to work independently as well as in a team with strong troubleshooting skill.
• Familiar with Permit-To-Work system and Lock-Out Tag-Out procedures.
• Effective team player and ability to communicate in English.
