Family Doctor are seeking a full time Senior Medical Receptionist and a Medical Receptionist to join our team at Camberwell Junction Medical Clinic in Victoria.

About the medical receptionist role:
We are looking for someone who values teamwork and has a high regard for quality patient care. This role provides the front-line services and has the responsibilities of guiding our patients through administrative and financial aspects of their treatment.
Tasks include but are not limited to:
- Providing high quality reception and secretarial services to the patients, doctors, and staff
- Greeting patients and visitors in personal and on the phone
- Scheduling appointments for patients
- General office and administrative duties
- Opening and closing the clinic as required
Additional role as a senior medical receptionist:
- Provide support to the Practice Manager & Assistant Practice Manager with staff management and general administrative processes
- Assist the Practice Manager & Assistant Practice Manager with implementing initiatives and promotions to improve centre performance
- Maintaining a safe, healthy and professional working environment
- Ensure processes and systems are in accordance with the National Standards of Accreditation
- Welcome and assist patients with enquires and appointments
- Answer and respond to telephone enquiries in a courteous and professional manner
- Accurately process patient payments via direct bill, cash and TYRO
- Support the provision of accurate and timely financial and practice data
- Take responsibility for staff management and the efficient delivery of administrative and customer service aspects of the center in the Practice Manager’s absence
About you:
- Strong communication and IT skills
- Previous medical receptionist experience (essential for senior position)
- Ability to multitask
- The ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality
- Experience using Best Practice software (advantageous)
- Critical attention to detail
- Experience in customer service
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
