QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist, preferably in a surgical setting.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient in office software and Shexie experience advantageous
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Understanding of medical billing and insurance processes.
Responsibilities:
- Patient Engagement: Greet patients warmly, assist with registration, and ensure a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere in the reception area.
- Appointment Scheduling: Efficiently manage the surgeon’s schedule, coordinate appointments, and handle any scheduling changes with precision.
- Administrative Excellence: Handle patient inquiries, maintain accurate records, and manage medical documentation with the utmost confidentiality.
- Collaboration: Work closely with medical staff, nurses, and other team members to ensure smooth operations within the practice.
- Insurance Coordination: Verify insurance information, process billing, and provide support to patients in understanding insurance coverage and billing procedures.
- Technology Proficiency: Utilise electronic medical records and other office software to streamline administrative processes.
