Description:

The Clinical Engineering Community Team is part of the Medical Physics Department within Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust.
We provide whole life equipment management services for the range of medical equipment in use across the Trust and also in external organisations who procure our services. We have 35 members of staff based in workshops at Hull Royal Infirmary and Castle Hill Hospital sites.
An exciting permanent opportunity has arisen to join a team of professionals providing technical support across the Community based at Castle Hill Hospital.
You are already a highly experienced technologist, with more than 2 years’ experience, confident to work independently providing excellent technical support to a wide range of medical equipment with experience of calibration and repair.
This is a demanding and challenging role requiring frequent but varied physical effort. The post involves regular communication with the nursing staff who request and return devices and with company representatives from suppliers who loan devices to the Trust.
The posts will be based at Castle Hill Hospital and offers an opportunity to work as part of a highly experienced team. As part of your career development we will assess and monitor your training needs and ensure that you undertake appropriate training.
The post is required to provide expert medical equipment support, carrying out servicing and repair of a wide range of medical equipment in a dynamic Biomedical Engineering team. Working on a broad spectrum of equipment and leading on Dental X-Ray and Ultrasound.
The successful candidate will have a key role within the team to ensure that work is carried out in a safe and effective manner, thus ensuring that work schedules are completed on time and in line with the planned preventative maintenance required on the Community partners equipment.
You set high standards, are safety conscious and always ensure services are provided to enhance and improve patient care.
You are comfortable working in a team with or without supervision.
