The current mine site locations are in the Northeastern Goldfields of WA, with multiple mining operations both open pit and underground. DESCRIPTION:

The Opportunity
A newly created role, the Senior Mine Planning Engineer (Surface Operations) collaborates with site-based operations, external contractors and a range of stakeholders to develop plans and schedules that integrate all aspects of executing a Life Of Mine plan. As a key member of our Surface Operations Technical Services team, you will effectively combine technical proficiency, strategic thinking and effective communication whilst actioning key strategic goals across our operations.
This is role is based in our modern well-appointed corporate offices in Subiaco, however there is an expectation of occasional site travel.
About the Role
Develop Life of Mines plans and schedules in conjunction with site operational teams and corporate stakeholders
Optimize mine designs through continuous evaluation and adjustment based on geological, engineering and economic factors using relevant systems (e.g. Whittle, Deswik, etc.)
Facilitate budget & forecast scheduling process including underground, open pit and processing and meet deadlines in the business planning calendar
Continuously monitor and evaluate mine performance against planned targets, report on mining compliance to plan and identify opportunities for improvement
Collaborate closely with geologists, mining engineers and operational teams to ensure alignment of mine plans with operational requirements and safety standards

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:

About You
Formal tertiary qualification in Engineering (Mining)
Incumbents would typically have practical operational experience and a minimum of 5+ years of planning experience (long, medium and short term)
High level Deswik suite planning tools essential
Advanced user of mine planning software e.g. Whittle, Deswik etc
Proficient user MS Excel
Report, collate and disseminate data effectively
