Senior Mining Engineer

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

Perform mine optimisation, mine design and study scheduling and cost estimation support.
Timely and cost effective provision of mining engineering inputs for mine design, life of mine scheduling and ore reserve estimation.
Support the work of mining engineering consultants to complete specialist tasks and manage peak workloads.
Interrogate and analyse performance and cost data.
Develop and maintain production and cost related models to support mine planning, improvement, benchmark analysis and evaluation studies.
Identify, undertake and report on performance and mine design improvement studies and option studies.
Perform review of medium term mine designs, mine production schedules and budgets.
Perform mining engineering analysis to assist project studies.
Be informed and applied in the spaces of innovation and technology advancement in the industry.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL REQUIRE:

Relevant tertiary degree qualifications in mining engineering or related discipline.
Minimum of 8 years industry experience; with extensive site-based operational expertise in metalliferous mining operations,.
Demonstrated proficiency open pit mine planning with a particular emphasis on optimisation, mine design and production scheduling skills.
Proficient user of relevant mine planning software.
Proficient user of MS Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project).
Desirable experience in underground metalliferous mine planning, project valuation studies and operational improvement
Desirable multi-lingual (Spanish preferred)
