Senior Mobile Engineer with Bluetooth Experience

nuumi is a consumer health tech company providing technology-enabled therapies to empower humanity to overcome addictions. Starting with smoking, the no.1 cause of preventable death nuumi developed the Fitbit for smokers. We use mobile technology, machine learning and wearable technology to further develop the best evidence based quit and relapse prevention strategies. A connected device that automatically adjusts nicotine intake and a companion app with a personalized therapy program based on machine learning. We are growing 50% month over month and now looking to build a senior dev team to support this growth and scale the business.
Tasks
As a member of an agile, cross-functional team, you will help to develop and maintain the mobile app and work at every stage of the development lifecycle, from design to distribution. You will build modern mobile app architectures and work closely with our backend engineering team. You will help ensure high performance, availability, and reliability of the app. Above all, you are a team player, have a can-do attitude, and like to bring in your ideas in a team discussion.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
• 7+ years professional experience in Software Development
• 5+ years experience mobile development
• Ideally experience with Native Modules (Objective-C/Swift and Java/Kotlin) as well as React Native for IOS and Android
• Experience with Bluetooth Low Energy in IOS / Android
• Unit testing experience ((at)testing-library/react-native and (at)testing-library/hooks)
• Experience working with React hooks, React Context API
• Networking (HTTP protocol, REST, caching)
