Description:
EXPERIENCE
- MBBS (with licence to practice and either MRCP, MRCGP etc. and/ or advanced degree MD/PhD), BPharm/MPharm (with current registration) or BSc in biological/ medical science preferable with an enhanced degree i.e. PhD
- Competent to critically appraise studies and clinical evidence so as to allow engagement on higher scientific level with HCPs
- Good understanding of trial designs and RWD/ RWE
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, experienced in the delivery of scientific presentations
- Agile, independent and proactive working style
- Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and of regulatory and reimbursement processes for Ireland (IPHA Code of Practice, HPRA and NCPE)
- Working knowledge of the HSE, including the ability to understand clinical priorities and how processes work within this system
- Successful experience of transverse project management
- Able to build strong working relationships to achieve optimal outcomes for patients
- Ability to collaborate and share information to contribute to the planning process and execute the agreed Medical plan in line with objectives

Responsibilities:
Medical affairs contribution to the therapy area strategy and operations for Ireland
- Accountability for understanding Healthcare Professional (HCP) and patient needs in Ireland and support a strategic and tactical therapy area medical plan designed to improve patient care and generate evidence of relevance for Ireland
- Develop a strong network of KOLs to enable appropriate and well utilised medical deliverables which make an impact to evidence generation, communication and patient care
- Contribute to the local evidence generation plan and execution for the franchise
- Input into the gap analysis and development of innovative approaches to Evidence Generation and Clinical Plans to meet the needs of the local therapy area for Ireland
- Work with Medical Operations Team, PSP alignment
