BASICQUALIFICATIONS:

  • Active Top-Secret/SCI
  • Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
  • Possess DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II Baseline Certification
  • Juniper Networks Certified Internet Specialist or Juniper Networks Certified Internet Associate
  • Must posses an active, OR have the ability to obtain within 90 days of hire date, an ITIL Foundations Certification

Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIESINCLUDE BUTARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Provides ongoing network support, addresses availability issues, overcomes performance problems, and provides overall level two support
  • Designs, installs, maintains, and coordinates the use of network systems
  • Evaluates hardware and software and peripheral equipment for large, complex networks
  • Manages network performance, diagnoses performance problems, and undertakes tuning activities to ensure network performance meets SLR requirements
  • Support thetechnicallead andbe the authorized interface with Government technical leaders and government technical and operational management personnel
  • Troubleshoots and resolves problems to ensure quality transmission service on the network.
  • Balance use of cutting-edge innovative technologies with the resiliency and reliability required of mission-critical applications
  • Develop schedules and technology project plans,evaluate,and improvework quality and system performance
  • Reports on overall network performance including frequent problems, underlying issues and plans to improve network availability, performance, and problem resolution
  • Trains users, maintains, creates, and deletes user accounts
  • Assists in identifying and monitoring technical risks and assuring plans are in place to mitigate risks before they become issues
  • Maintains and updates system security plans on all platforms
  • Providegovernment personnelsolution progress, project updates and other technical contract-related concerns
  • Implements and coordinates network policies, procedures, and standards. Enforces network security procedures
