Job Title: Senior Network Administrator
Where: Office of State Courts Administrator, Jefferson City, MO
Full-time: 40 hours

We are recruiting to fill a Senior Network Administrator position to lead and monitor the operation of the organization’s local and wide area networks (LAN/WAN). May lead or participate in strategic planning efforts, capacity planning, functional and technical design of enterprise systems, and resolution of complex problems.

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Recommends vendor products in hardware, software, and telecommunications equipment and recommends purchases consistent with the OSCA’s short and long term objectives.
  • Leads troubleshooting, diagnosis and repairs/fixes for network hardware and defined segments of more complex systems
  • Responds to questions from customers needing assistance; identifies problem source and
  • Resolves problems; refers and discusses problems with supervisor or other designated contacts, as appropriate
  • Crafts utility scripts to configure programs to meet the needs of the organization and to generate reports upon trouble shooting requests

DESIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • Considerable knowledge of computer security systems and procedures
  • Considerable knowledge of computer networking and telecommunications
  • Considerable knowledge of TCP/IP packet analysis
  • Ability to prepare and maintain standards, procedures, guidelines and technical manuals
    Minimum qualifications: (The following statement represents the minimum education and experience which will be used to determine qualifications of applicants. Additional experience above the minimum stated may be substituted on a year for year basis for the required education. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted on a year for year basis.)
    Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree with at least fifteen (15) hours in computer science or computer information systems and three years of experience In computer programming, systems analysis and design, network design and configuration, or work with primary responsibility for the configuration of computer hardware or software in a mainframe, midrange and computer environment or with installation and configuration of operation systems, network design and configuration, installing and configuring software applications, identifying and resolving customer problems and working with complex hardware or software systems in a mainframe, midrange or computer environment.
