Description:
Cross River Rail Delivery Authority (CRRDA)…Your chance to work with the best!
Cross River Rail will transform the way we travel to, from and through Brisbane in the future. It will be a catalyst for 10 years of wider rail transformation across the whole of South East Queensland and it is already playing a key role in how we prepare for the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Cross River Rail is a new 10.2km rail line including 5.9km of twin tunnels running under the Brisbane River and CBD. It includes the delivery of four new underground stations, two above-ground stations, accessibility rebuilds for six stations, the construction of three new stations on the Gold Coast, and the introduction of a new world-class ‘ETCS’ signalling system.
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to work on one of Australia’s largest infrastructure projects and to be a part of something that will leave a lasting legacy for generations.
About the Role
The Customer and Network team coordinate temporary and permanent changes to rail and transport networks and customer environment so that Cross River Rail can be delivered. This includes facilitating access to the network for construction partners whilst ensuring minimal impacts to commuters with acceptable levels of accessibility and service maintained during construction.
The Senior Network Changes Advisor contributes to ensuring customer facing network changes are managed successfully throughout the project lifecycle with a key focus on facilitating the closure and opening of upgraded and new stations. This entails extensive engagement with transport stakeholders including the Department of Transport and Main Roads, Brisbane City Council, Queensland Rail and technical advisors. You will apply a consistent network change governance framework which supports effective multi agency collaboration and decision making, tracking deliverables like bus service changes, rail timetable changes, traffic permit requirements and communications.
This opportunity will be offered as a 2 year contract with possible extension.

- Undertake strategic forward planning of the Network Change Program to assess complexity, and planning timeframes.
- Develop and manage project controls and project reporting.
- Develop network change governance materials such as operational risk assessments, options analyses, gateway assurance documentation.
- Plan for and lead day of operations management activities for network changes, which includes work outside of regular hours.
- Undertake continual improvement exercises and lessons learnt activities post network changes.
