DXC Luxoft is looking for a strong network engineer with the expertise to drive the transformation of their transaction banking banking business for one of our key clients in Asia. In cooperation with Application Technology & Infrastructure teams to build and support complex network infrastructure in a large organization. Implementing the best technology and service practices to achieve high availability and performance of related business applications.

SKILLS

Must have
Must have 10+ years of relevant experience as a Network Engineer
ideally in banking or financial sector. Required Expertise:
Bachelor’s degree in technical or engineering, or computer science or equivalent experience
10+ years of experience as an engineer for network and network security projects
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high pressure, constantly changing environment
Experience in managing and driving complex global and regional projects with multiple functional teams
Hands on experience with Network security design and operations including: expert in routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), Firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet) and load balancers (F5)
Experience in managing and troubleshooting Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Cisco Unity Connection, Expressways and voice gateways.
Experience in security practices and methodologies including SSL/TLS encryption
Certification and/or training with vendor-neutral or vendor-specific focus
Basic understanding of operating system administration (Windows and Linux)
Basic scripting and automation experience
Excellent written and oral communication skills to technical and non-technical staff
Excellent time management and organization skills
Nice to have
Working knowledge of network fundamentals (ie, LAN/WAN)

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Network Engineer, you will responsible and play a critical role in designing, implementing and supporting bank’s network infrastructure across the APAC region. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving transformation across the network infrastructure. Key Responsibilities
Split engineering and operations role in Enterprise Networking including firewalls, load balancer, network encryption, port authentication and overall network controls and management
Help to drive network improvements and standardization for the network environments in both the Datacenters, Campus and Remote Branch offices
Perform tasks including but not limited to planning, staging of hardware and software, implementation of the solution in production environment, providing post-cutover support, documentation and end user training
Test, debug, conduct performance analysis and documentation of network infrastructure components
Creation and implementation of test plans (including functionality, integrity, stress testing and definition of test methodologies and strategy) related to network infrastructure
Ensure that plans for the network integrate effectively with other aspects of the technical infrastructure
Assist in the development and configuration of the network infrastructure from conceptualization through to stabilization
Rapidly diagnose and resolve network related incidents and outages to minimize downtime and maintain uninterrupted operations
Collaboration with cross-functional teams: Work closely with infrastructure and application teams to understand their requirements and provide network solutions that align to business needs
Proactively monitoring the network performance, identify bottlenecks and propose improvements to achieve optimal network efficiency and reliability
Regularly conduct capacity planning assessments to anticipate future requirements and ensure the network can scale to accommodate growing demands
Assist in the implementation of the network infrastructure by performing product customization, development, implementation and verification procedures to ensure successful installation of network hardware/software
Ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of network infrastructure required for new projects
Creates and maintains written documentation and diagrams for supported systems
