  • An ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret level security clearance.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • An ability to work in both individual and team settings.
  • A strong understanding of TCP/IP and networking protocols (Ethernet, IP, TCP, UDP).
  • Recent hands-on experience with network and security devices (IP routers, switches, firewalls, IPS, VPNs).
  • Experience in scripting/software development and automation frameworks such as Python, Ansible, PowerShell, and UNIX Shell scripting.
  • This position requires a minimum of 50% hybrid on-site.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in cloud and virtualization technologies to include compute, storage, and networking in private and commercial cloud environments such as VMware, AWS, GCP, OpenStack, and Azure.
  • Experience with network architecture design, including defensive cybersecurity components and network monitoring strategies.
  • Experience with virtualization, automation, and DevOps architectures such as Docker Swarm, Kubernetes, Chef, and Puppet.
  • Recent hands-on experience configuring core network services (DHCP, DNS, NTP, LDAP).
  • Expertise in network programmability concepts such as Software Defined Networking (SDN), Network Function Virtualization (NFV), and programmable data planes.
  • A master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, or a similar engineering discipline.
  • Associate level networking certification(s) such as a CCNA or JNCIA.

Responsibilities:

Senior technical staff are expected to make impactful contributions to one or more mission-driven projects. Though projects and tasking are diverse and highly variable, some examples of what staff are expected to work on include:

  • Working across diverse teams to deliver innovative networking and security solutions for multiple MITRE sponsors and MITRE internal communities of interest.
