Description:
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Advanced knowledge and skills and experience in the area of DNS, DHCP and IPAM - Infoblox Infrastructure.
- Advanced knowledge and skills and experience in the area of Switching and Routing - Cisco Infrastructure in particular ( CCNP - CCIE Certified).
- Extensive experience in troubleshooting of the following: VXLAN, EVPN, VPC, Routing protocols BGP and OSPF and the DCNM Tool.
- Good understanding of scripting languages like python and automation platforms. Solid experience in AWZ and Azure.
- Requirement for on-call availability once in four weeks.
DESIRABLE SKILLS:
- Advanced knowledge and skills and experience in scripting.
- Advanced knowledge and skills and experience in the area of Network Visibility and Network troubleshooting - Gigamon Infrastructure

Responsibilities:
- Provide specialised, first level support and technical assistance and assist with the monitoring of issue resolution to ensure issues are resolved within a timely manner.
- Design backup and recovery procedures and plan and undertake Disaster Recovery and testing procedures to ensure effective Disaster Recovery plans are developed, documented, tested and implemented.
- Undertake problem determination and root cause analysis to ensure permanent corrective actions are implemented appropriately.
- Plan and review proposed changes and implement where applicable to ensure successful implementation of infrastructure changes.
- Make recommendations and assist in the design and implementation of technology infrastructure solutions and support project delivery groups to ensure the development and maintenance of effective technology infrastructure within the Westpac Group.
- Provide input into the planning of future infrastructure requirements, conduct all aspects of capacity planning, performance monitoring and tuning of specific infrastructure components, liaise with software vendors to determine fixes and upgrades available and investigate and install new releases and patches.
- Assist in the formulation of infrastructure standards and guidelines to support the development of effective infrastructure strategies and procedures.
- Liaise with stakeholders to confirm and develop infrastructure requirements and recommend solutions to ensure user requirements are understood and appropriately translated into infrastructure requirements
