In order to stay in control of our vital IT Infrastructure, we are looking for a Senior Network & Security Engineer to strengthen our ITOPS team of highly skilled professionals. The ideal candidate? An expert in IT network infra management. Only mastery of your responsibilities is good enough for you. Protection against cybercrime is your number one priority. You understand the importance of a healthy balance between Serving Business & Protecting Assets.

REQUIRED HARD SKILLS

• For this role its is a must to have an existing valid work permit for the Netherlands.
• Minimum 5 years of work experience in a similar role, with minimum HBO level education
• Demonstrable experience with network architecture, configuring firewalls and network devices
• Extensive experience with Juniper (firewalls), Cisco (switches), Fortinet (VPN concentrators) or similar vendors
• Extensive knowledge of the ISO OSI-model, Network- and Zero-Trust architecture, Cybersecurity, NIDS and HIDS, Linux (Debian/Ubuntu), and Microsoft Defender

THESE HARD SKILLS ARE A PLUS

• Experience with lifecycle management of services and processes including Microsoft Windows (server) infrastructure, Active Directory, Group Policies, RDS farm and supporting services including Veeam suite, Netwrix, PRTG, Intune
• Experience with availability- and replication strategies including business continuity measures & disaster recovery plans
• Understanding and adopting ITIL way of thinking without losing focus on business
• Knowledge of premises and cloud (Microsoft Azure Cloud Hybrid) architecture
• Experience with IT Risk Management Control frameworks (ISO27001, ISAE3402, SOCII)

SOFT SKILLS

• Excellent command of written and spoken English
• Outstanding problem solving/analytical skills
• Drive to continuously improve quality, with an attention to detail
• Ability to work well in an evolving and fast-paced environment as a team player as well as independently
• Being able to explain technical matters to non-technicians
• Natural desire to keep up with changing IT landscape and (cyber) threats.
• You won’t use arguments like “because that’s how we’ve done it for the past 10 years” in a discussion

• Ensure the IT Network Infrastructure is protected in line with latest industry best practices
• Manage quality, logging, SOPs and documentation of services under your responsibility
• Plan, design, and implement LAN/WAN/Security solutions that are in line with industry standards and compliance
• Review, assess, and recommend network standards to support routing & switching, data centers, cloud-based architectures
• Evaluate current network state, provide recommendations, and implement solution to ensure the network architecture are updated with latest industry best practices
• Translate technical specifications into clear non-technical requirements
• Ensure measures are in place to manage cyber incidents
