We have an opportunity for you, an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist with strong interest in working as one of our therapist within a welcoming and dynamic therapy team at QVH.
This position has become available due to an internal promotion.
You must have excellent clinical skills, be proactive and self-motivated, but most importantly have a passion for maintaining high standards of care for our patients.
You will assess and treat a joint caseload of burns, plastics (Surgical patients such as: Amputee’s, skin cancers, eye ) and head and neck patients both as inpatients on our critical care unit, high dependency unit and three wards and as outpatients in order to maximise patient recovery and function. You will attend daily handover meetings, weekly in-service training and regular MDT meetings. You will work closely with our discharge coordinator team to facilitate safe and timely discharges for our inpatients.
The Burns, Plastics and Head and Neck OT/PT team at QVH consists of 10 individuals, 7 therapists and 3 rehabilitation assistants with extended skills in pressure garment fabrication.
