JOB SUMMARY
Nua Healthcare Services (Nua) is one of Ireland’s leading Private Healthcare Providers, specialising in Residential and Supported Living Services, to both Children and Adults with a range of complex support needs.
We are seeking applications from energetic and enthusiastic individuals to join our team for the above positions. The successful candidate will be afforded all necessary training and development in line with the role. Candidates must be highly motivated and creative, with a passion for engaging with Service Users on a daily basis. Candidates will contribute to enriching the lives of our Service Users.
JOB OBJECTIVES
We are currently seeking applications from a suitability qualified Senior Occupational Therapist to work in the newly developed mental health service working alongside a Basic Grade Occupational Therapist and a diverse multidisciplinary team. Candidates must demonstrate the necessary interest, capability, performance and enthusiasm in line with the requirements of this role.
This will include the following on a day-to-day basis:
EDUCATION AND TRAINING
- Complete any mandatory trainings assigned through Nua Healthcare’s Learning Management System.
- Attend internal/external conferences/ courses relevant to practice.
- Participate in and follow up on actions set or learnings identified from clinical supervision and performance appraisals.
QUALIFICATION:
- Hold a Degree/ Masters in Occupational Therapy from a 3rd level institution offering a programme of study accredited by the World Federation of Occupational Therapists.
- Be registered with CORU or show proof of pending registration at application stage.
KNOWLEDGE:
- Knowledge of standards and legislation relevant to the area.
- Knowledge of the Judgement Support Framework and experience supporting compliance with same.
- Knowledge of individual care planning and experience contributing to individual risk assessment.
- Have a desire to support the ongoing development of the occupational therapy team with a willingness to engage in service development and quality improvement initiatives
EXPERIENCE:
- Have at least three years relevant post qualification experience as an Occupational Therapist preferably in adult mental health services.
- Experience in developing and running therapeutic services and programmes including occupation based and psycho-educational groups.
- Experience working with individuals with complex mental health presentations .
- Evidence of a commitment to continuous professional development (CPD)
