Role details
The Occupational Therapy Department at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Senior Occupational Therapist (Specialist Palliative Care Service) to join their team on a temporary basis.

Your opportunity
To deliver high level comprehensive Occupational Therapy clinical skills and leadership to provide effective and efficient treatment to patients and their families engaged with the Specialist Palliative Care Service (SPCS) multi-disciplinary team. Clinical service provision will to patients, their families/carers and other key stakeholders will be via home visits, outpatient appointments, inpatient appointments and telehealth.
About the Team
Our Occupational Therapy Service delivers care to patients, both children and adults, throughout our hospital departments as well as in outpatient, community and rural settings. Our Occupational Therapists play a critical role in helping people of all ages to overcome the effects of disability caused by illness, ageing or accident so that they can carry out everyday tasks or occupations and participate in the activities of everyday life.
