Description:

We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Senior Occupational Therapy support worker at Arnold Lodge.
Therapy Services consists of an established and dedicated team of Occupational Therapists, Support staff, Peer Support worker and Sports, Fitness and Well-being staff. We work together to provide a comprehensive range of interventions to meet the therapeutic needs of the patient group and value diversity within the team.
The Therapy Services team has a strong focus on recovery and patients involvement.
You will have experience of organising and running a variety of activity sessions with individuals and groups. Experience of working in mental health is desirable but not essential. Please read the job specification to ensure that you meet the criteria.
You will receive a comprehensive induction training programme and support to develop within the role. Clinical and managerial supervision will be provided for the post holder from the Senior Occupational Therapist.
These posts would be ideal for people wanting to gain some clinical experience within Occupational Therapy.
A secondment would be considered for internal applicants.
To work with the Therapy Services team to provide Occupational Therapy to patients across the three pathways at Arnold Lodge - Male Mental Health, Personality and Women’s.
To deliver occupational focused sessions using practical, vocational, creative, social , leisure and daily living activities.
To contribute to the assessment and treatment of individual patients.
To lead or co-facilitate groups and individual sessions for patients in the hospital and the community.
