Description:

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Understand and assess vessel repair/docking specifications.
  • Prepare and submit timely quotations for Ship Repair, Conversion, and Retrofit Projects based on man-hours, materials, and subcontractor costs before contract award.
  • Coordinate with equipment vendors/subcontractors to obtain accurate quotes.
  • Attend vessel inspections as required.
  • Participate in VSCC meetings and progress meetings onboard vessels.
  • Inspect additional works with trades, SRM, subcontractors, and the owner.
  • Submit and agree upon prices for all additional works, considering man-hours, materials, and subcontractors, prior to commencing the work.
  • Prepare partial payment invoices and follow up on remittance.
  • Negotiate and settle the final repair invoice with the owner/technical superintendent.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in ship repairs.
  • Diploma or degree in Marine, Mechanical, Naval Architecture, or Offshore Engineering.
  • Proficient in estimating and costing for repair and conversion projects.
