Responsibilities:

The Senior Operational Performance & Insights Analyst is a newly created opportunity in our Operational Insights & Governance team based at our Perth CBD office.
The purpose of the role is to provide the Customer Business Unit with operational data analysis to enable the engagement in data driven decision making. This includes reporting on and analysing operational business performance through creation, maintenance, and improvements of Power BI reports across residential and business customer facing areas to support Synergy’s corporate strategy and strategic plan.
This position requires a strong understanding of data architecture, advanced analytics techniques, and data visualisation techniques, which includes advanced capabilities in statistical languages such as SQL, Python/Pyspark and Python and experience using database management systems.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Designing, reviewing, analysing, and reporting on all aspects of Customer Business Unit Operations including but not limited to; telephony, workforce management, quality assurance, learning analytics, billing & metering, network invoicing, contact centre team performance, compliance, external partner contracts, operational and financial forecasting, customer programs and credit and collections.
  • Advise and contribute to the Extended Senior Leadership team with data analysis and reporting, including insights on current and historic customer and internal operational data to enable the Customer Business Unit to anticipate and serve customer needs.
  • Contribute to the design, review and implementation of the Customer strategic plan and sub strategies, policies, and guideline.
  • Contribute to the design, review and preparation of Customer board papers and ministerial requests.
  • Build capability in technical and soft skills within the team and provide support to foster a culture of curiosity, continuous improvement, and customer centricity.
