Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a driven and dynamic individual to join the Children and Young People’s Service in the post of Senior Operational Support across North Tees & Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust.
The successful candidate will be expected to provide leadership and operational management to our CYP services, working alongside other leads across our department in order to provide the highest level of care to our service users.
To provide systematic and accountable operational leadership and management to Children and Young People’s services, working with support of the Head of Children and Young People’s Services.
To provide senior Management input that supports the Head of CYP Services, Clinical Director, Paed Lead Nurse and staff across the Care Group in the delivery of multiple projects and workstreams.
To provide support to other Operational Lead(s), Senior Clinical Matrons and or Senior Clinical Professionals as required.
To provide highly specialist clinical and professional advice as required
Contribute to performance monitoring and improvement, taking a lead for the identified service areas.

To provide support and advice to the CYP service areas on the day to day management including work allocation and planning to ensure equity across pathways.
To undertake line management responsibilities including appraisal, reviewing work performance, facilitating staff development, managing first line disciplinary and grievance issues, and acting as an authorised signatory for travel forms, time sheets, SVL etc.
To contribute to recruitment of staff for the designated service areas.
To work collaboratively with the Head of CYP services, Paediatric Lead Nurse, Professional Lead, Clinical Director and Operational Lead(s), Clinical Leads and Senior Clinical Matrons to ensure evidence-based, equitable provision across the children and young people’s services in line with the relevant service specification(s) including policy formation, workforce planning, staff deployment, allocation of resources and team developments
To maintain an overview of the electronic client management system for the designated service areas including monitoring waiting lists and performance data, actively managing any issues as they arise.
To work with the SCM to advise on service delivery issues within the designated service areas including pressures and shortfalls, budget issues, the delivery of KPIs and meeting identified targets.
To establish and maintain links with other stakeholder groups within the designated service areas e.g. education staff, health staff, 0-19 services, CAMHS services, PVI services, ensuring that stakeholder views are taken into consideration in all areas of service provision and development.
To represent CYP services in relevant planning groups within the designated service areas as appropriate.
To lead the development of a rolling programme of audits e.g. user satisfaction, quality standards, across the designated localities, developing appropriate action plans to improve outcomes for children, young people and their families.
To work collaboratively with the other members of the CYP team to determine the interpretation of national and local health, education and social care policies and practices as they apply to children and young people’s service.
To contribute to the development and implementation of the departmental Business Plan.
To represent the children and young people’s service on behalf of NTHFT in groups within and out wit the Trust as required
To act as an authorised signatory, monitoring stock levels and being responsible for coordinating the ordering of items of equipment required by the teams across the designated localities.
To ensure the implementation of Trust policies and procedures across the designated localities e.g. safeguarding, attendance management, complaints, including the resolution of informal complaints and the drafting of initial response to formal complaints about the service in the designated localities.
To tackle any identified discrimination and harassment and actively promote equality and diversity in the workplace in the designated localities.
To undertake and lead on service projects and assume delegated tasks as requested by the Head of CYP services.
To develop and maintain own knowledge base including up to date knowledge of research and development and new legislation impacting on the provision of service to children and young people.
To initiate and undertake research/clinical governance/audit projects across CYP services.
To take responsibility for personal development and education and the development of a Personal Development Plan.
To be accountable for own professional actions and recognise own professional boundaries, seeking advice as appropriate.
To gather activity data and produce statistical information as required
