We are currently looking for a Warehouse Operations Supervisor (Senior Operations Agent) to join our team at our Belfast Service Centre, BT3 9JQ. You will be working Monday – Friday 11.30 - 20.30, managing and planning local operations and courier staff to ensure we meet our daily operational, service, quality, and cost targets.
Responsibilities:
AS A WAREHOUSE OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR, YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
- Ensuring daily operational targets are met and taking immediate actions to reverse identified areas of under-performance.
- Ensuring pick-up, delivery and shipment processing services are executed in line with service, quality and cost performance standards and targets.
- Ensuring compliance to Regional and Country processes, policies and procedures, and any local external regulatory requirements, that relate to the operational services provided.
- Analysing & providing innovative solutions to service issues
- Supporting the effective implementation and deployment of Regional and Country projects, Programmes, and initiatives within the Service Centre.
- Ensuring that the team is provided with clear performance standards and is staffed, coached, trained and motivated to meet set targets.
- Conducting regular 121’s and annual performance appraisal process for all team members within the agreed timeframes to manage individual performance and job satisfaction.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Good interpersonal skills
- Strong IT skills
- Operational process knowledge
- Knowledge and understanding of Dangerous Goods (preferred)
- Good at establishing working relationships and developing personal contacts.
- Strong personal influencing and consultative skills
- Good analytical and commercial awareness
- Self-motivated with good judgment and decision-making qualities.
- Strong Negotiation skills
- Prior experience would be beneficial, but full training is available.
