Description:
QUALIFICATIONS
You will need:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, social or natural science or other related fields combined with relevant experience.
- At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in multilateral organizations.
- Advanced computer skills with sound knowledge of common word-processing, spreadsheets and graphics software, and familiarity with computer system used generally in multilateral organizations.
- Good coordination and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to exercise judgment on matters of confidentiality and those requiring urgent attention especially in the supervisor’s absence.
- Good understanding of the role and function of the climate change and environment team/division/department and a good general understanding of the organization’s purpose, as an asset.
- Familiarity with scope of work in a multilateral organization on environment and nature, as an asset.
- Good working knowledge of multilateral organization’s procedures, formats and standards relevant in the performance of assigned work, as an asset.
- Excellent command of written and verbal proficiency in English.

Additional Information
This is a fixed term appointment with option to renew for an initial period of 3 years following Section 3.1 (b) of Administrative Order No. 2.01 (“Recruitment and Appointment’). This appointment is not convertible to a regular appointment. It may be extended on an exceptional basis for a further fixed period at the option of ADB. This appointment is open to internal and external applicants.
If you are selected as an external candidate, the appointment may be extended for a period of up to 3 years per extension, or not renewed. In case of extension, staff may continue in the position for another term of up to 3 years.
At the end of the initial period, ADB, as its discretion may: (a) renew a fixed term appointment or assignment, (b) not renew a fixed term appointment.
