What you’ll contribute to
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Operations Project Specialist to join our Aftersales Division. The Senior Operations Project Specialist is primarily responsible for developing, reviewing, evaluating and continuously improving warehousing and logistics systems and processes at Toyota Parts Centres nationally in order to ensure cost savings, increased productivity and a greater alignment of supplier ordering and service rate targets in line with the Long Term Business Plan.
This is a Max term role based in Acacia Ridge with flexible work arrangements.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Provide specialist advice on and assist managers in the development of policies and standards to improve warehousing and logistics performance.
  • Investigate, recommend, implement, and review agreed systems, processes, and supply chain procedures consistent with set policies to achieve operations objectives.
  • Lead, develop, and coordinate multi-phase Project activities to agreed milestones to improve warehousing capacities and logistics performance.
  • Contribute to the design, implementation, and continuous improvement across all warehousing operations including business systems, equipment, and controls (including IT).
  • Implement new initiatives to support operational performance KPIs.
  • Act as a liaison in relation to process issues, systems and operations.
  • Resolve complex issues through data gathering and analysis and implement countermeasures, ensuring stakeholder buy-in.
  • Monitor and analyses warehouse performance against safety, quality, efficiency, and lead time targets and countermeasure performance gaps.
  • Monitors warehouse operations with respect to compliance with all relevant regulations and statutory requirements in order to minimise Toyota’s risk exposure and liabilities.

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a continuous improvement environment in manufacturing or logistics.
  • Degree qualifications in Engineering – Industrial, Manufacturing or Mechanical.
  • Confident individual who is “hands on” with a “can do” enthusiastic approach.
  • Experience in designing, planning, and implementing operational changes and improvements.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Ability to work independently and in a cross functional team.
  • Excellent communication skills & the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders to influence and implement change.
