Description:

Job Description: Ninyo & Moore has an immediate opening for a Principal-level Environmental Geologist or Engineer in our San Diego office. The successful candidate will be instrumental in helping to manage and grow Ninyo & Moore’s Environmental consulting business. This position is for a candidate who enjoys performing both business development and technical consulting activities. We are looking for a professional who has a strong technical reputation in the field, enjoys and is great at promoting that reputation and the company behind it, and wants to be rewarded with an excellent compensation package.
Education: BS Degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, or Engineering.
Required Skills: The successful candidate will be a results-driven and self-motivated CA licensed professional geologist or engineer (PE, PG, CEG, CHG) with 15+ years of experience with an environmental engineering services consulting firm performing the duties described above. Candidate should have strong relationships with state and local regulatory agencies, expertise in Regulatory Compliance, Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, Environmental Remediation, Environmental issues (air, waste water, hazardous waste), and attending shortlist/interview presentations for major environmental clients. Candidate should have senior management level presentation and negotiation skills, business development and client services focus. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills, a positive attitude, and problem solving skills are a must. Must be able to act as the client manager for key clients or services areas, having a high profile through membership associations and a strong environmental network in Southern California. Must be a strong technical reviewer, able to mentor junior technical personnel and able to plan and implement projects. Computer skills, with experience in Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are required.
