On behalf of our client in the Banking Sector, PROCOM is looking for a Senior Oracle Database Developer/Administrator.

Senior Oracle Database Developer/Administrator - Job Description

• Manage Oracle databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems
• Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability and security
• Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end
• Ensures strategic design, implementation, and documentation of current and future projects within Database environments
• Maintain technical/process documentation as required
• Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours
• Ability to complete tasks and produce appropriate deliverables within project time schedules
• Identify and participate in automation opportunities
• Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems; enforce and support the change management process

Senior Oracle Database Developer/Administrator - Mandatory Skills

• 7+ years of experience working as an Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) including performance tuning (DB system and SQL tuning)
• Comprehensive knowledge and experience working as a Oracle Database Administrator (DBA)
• Hands-on experience installing and, configuring, administering Oracle products and patches, including Oracle Standalone and RAC Databases 11g/12c/18c/19c, ASM, Oracle Clusterware, DataGuard, Active DataGuard and GoldenGate
• Experience installing and administering Oracle databases on Linux (RHEL & OEL)
• Solid experience in Linux, Linux Shell scripting
• Experience working with Oracle OEM Cloud Control
• Experience and knowledge of SQL queries and SQL Trace/Explain plans, SQL performance tuning
• Setting Oracle parameters, and options
• Experience in resolving database/app SQL code performance issues from moderate to complex
• Strong Performance tuning experience with databases hosted on Oracle Exadata
• Experience tuning and optimizing database queries, Oracle backup and recovery strategies
• Expertise in backup & recovery and migration using RMAN, Datapump
• Hands on experience with database security and database encryption
• Expert level knowledge of user access management and database privileges
• Must be organized, self-motivated and be able to participate in the knowledge transfer to other team members

Senior Oracle Database Developer/Administrator - Preferred Skills

• Working knowledge of Postgres is a plus
