The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Senior Paralegal, Labor and Employment, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Supporting counsel on a range of employment-related issues relating to recruiting and hiring, compensation and benefits, leave of absences and accommodations, performance and disciplinary matters, internal investigations, and terminations.
  • Supporting on pre-litigation disputes, administrative actions, and litigation matters by partnering with internal stakeholders, and managing critical aspects of legal preservation activities, discovery requests and responses, collection, production, and witness interviews.
  • Partnering with Human Resources and business professionals at all levels within the company to manage and prioritize employment-related projects and initiatives.
  • Assisting in preparation of employment-related documents and policies.
  • Under the direction of counsel, monitoring regulations and legal trends, supporting ongoing compliance efforts, and training on labor and employment topics.
  • Acting as a liaison with external counsel and vendors and supporting their engagement to ensure efficient usage in compliance with Legal Affairs policies.
  • Leveraging technology, policies and procedures, and resources to develop and implement solutions for productivity enhancements and cost efficiencies.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher AND minimum of (4) years of experience working as a paralegal on labor and employment matters.

OR

  • High School Diploma/GED from AND (8) years of experience working as a paralegal on labor and employment matters.

In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:

  • Certification from an ABA accredited paralegal or legal assistant program.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Knowledge of federal and state labor and employment laws/regulations.
  • Experience working at an in-house legal department or large law firm.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple matters.
  • Project management experience.

Work location: Remote - United States
Travel: May include up to 5% domestic

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $106,331 - $129,960, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience. In addition, this position may be eligible for a range of benefits (e.g., Medical, Dental & Vision, Health Savings Accounts, Health Care & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, Disability Benefits, Life Insurance, Voluntary Benefits, Paid Absences and Retirement Benefits, etc.).
