We are currently seeking an experienced full time Senior Paralegal in the Dallas Fort Worth Area with high integrity, professionalism and communication skills who can join our legal team. You will be working on uniquely assigned projects under the guidance of the General Counsel and Senior Paralegal Manager to support corporate management. In your day-to-day role as a Senior Paralegal, you will assist the legal team in the daily operations and management of the organization.
Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with basic administrative functions and processes of supporting the Company’s corporate governance and business licensing efforts; electronic and physical document retention and management; drafting and review of documents in support of corporate governance (to include resolutions, orders, board actions and minutes, etc); maintaining, updating, and pursuing state, national, and international-level business registrations and security licenses; assisting attorneys and the Senior Paralegal Manager with labor and employment matters and research; research and conducting witness interviews in support of internal and external investigations; as well as a variety of other tasks in support of the Legal and Ethics Department’s mission. We are looking for someone who has exceptional analysis and organizational skills and pays close attention to detail. What you will do:

  • Develop relationships with clients, facilitate collaboration, and have the ability to influence informally across different departments within the team
  • Work directly with the Senior Paralegal Manager in developing, refining and implementing systems and processes to increase the productivity and efficiency of the Legal and Ethics & Compliance Departments
  • Work independently and adapt to various work-paces while always maintaining a high-level of attentiveness and energy
  • Provide timely support to the General Counsel and Senior Paralegal Manager on corporate governance and licensing matters that impact company expansion or operations
  • Assist the General Counsel and Senior Paralegal Manager with fact gathering or research related to labor and employment matters and internal investigations
  • Manage the day-to-day administrative functions of the Legal and Ethics & Compliance Departments to include tracking and reporting the status of actions to the Legal Department Leadership
  • Perform intake and assignment of legal review requests, actions, and other matters that require action by the Senior Paralegal Manager or attorneys
  • Assist with the management of compliance, risk management, and legal services under the guidance of the Senior Paralegal Manager
  • Assisting with corporate matters, including organization, management and filing of corporate governance documents both nationally and internationally
  • Assisting with e-Discovery, if needed, including reviewing court rules and procedures, document collection, document production, bates numbering, and document redaction
  • Perform research assignments under the guidance of the Senior Paralegal Manager or attorneys as required
  • Manage all regulatory corporate filings to include business registration and corporate security licensing requirements at the county, state, national, and international level
  • Perform additional duties as required by the Senior Paralegal Manager, attorneys, and senior Surefox leaders

What is required:

  • Must be eligible for employment within the United States
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years old per state licensing guidelines
  • Must be able to pass an extensive background check and drug screening (Surefox will consider for employment qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with all requirements of State and local laws, regulations or codes)
  • Have paralegal certificate and/or associate’s degree from an accredited college or university (with a minimum of 24 semester hours completed in paralegal studies)
  • At least 6 years of paralegal experience in any or all of the following legal disciplines: corporate, contracts, labor and employment, and/or investigations
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
  • Ability to prioritize and manage competing projects with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to engage and communicate effectively with people at all levels and from diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of cross functional teams
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with grace and discretion
  • Team player with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude

What is desired:

  • Live in or be willing to relocate to the Dallas/Ft Worth area
  • Military experience is a plus
  • Experience with Government contracts and/or bid processes is a plus
  • Proficiency working with Google Suite (Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, etc.) and AdobeSign is preferred
  • Experience with e-Discovery processes and tools and contract management processes and tools is preferred
