Description:

StarMed is a one-stop day-surgery and multi-disciplinary medical center that offers quality day surgeries and diagnostic services at competitive private sector prices. We are now looking for a Patient Service Officer to be part of the team.

The successful candidate will be performing the following duties, but not limited to:

  • Perform registration: key in patients’ data and register in the system.
  • Generate bill estimation form.
  • Advise patients on Medisave / medishield / private shield / corporate guarantees and to obtain signatures on the relevant forms.
  • Follow up with doctors or clinic staff on completing the information required.
  • Assist doctor during consultation.
  • Booking of appointment in the system.
  • Alert and rectify duplicate patients’ records in the system.
  • Assist in training and guiding new and junior staff.
  • Collect deposit if required.
  • Handle billing, collection of payment (cash, NETS, credit cards, cheques) with integrity and accuracy.
  • Perform daily closing of collections and alert superiors on discrepancies if any.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Has 1-2 years of experience in healthcare industry
  • Experience in clinical duties such as taking of blood samples, recording vital signs reading and etc. will be advantageous.
  • Experience working in a specialist clinic setting.
  • Able to work in fast-paced environment.
  • Tech-savvy
  • Good interpersonal skills, a good team player and has good time management skills.
  • Willing to learn and ability to adapt are key attributes for this role
