WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

You will be based in our San Jose office working for the Spanish Latam Payroll team. You will work with Payroll and Finance team in a regional and global level.
You will be interacting with colleagues within the global payroll team and finance function and across functions (e.g., HR, recruiting, legal, etc.).

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, economics or related field, ideally in professional services/consulting environment or multinationals
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in payroll and/or finance
  • Fluency in Spanish and English
  • Highly experienced using Excel
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Skills to communicate complex ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Deep technical/functional knowledge in accounting and payroll with relevant knowledge of payroll taxes and labor regulations

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Finance Process Lead you will be responsible for supervising the monthly payroll process and for providing analyses to offices/cells engaged in this process.
You will prepare input files and monthly incidence reports for Payroll vendors in several SL countries, provide payroll related analysis including review of calculations and payroll taxes and coordinate payroll and social security payments on a monthly basis.
You will support onboarding process for new hires for payroll related topics, including social security and mandatory pension & health registrations. You will assist colleagues with payroll specific requests, including analysis of tax reductions, explanation of salary details, vacation balances, expense reimbursements and other. You will also support payroll related audits from internal and external auditors and from government and social security entities; support HR colleagues to coordinate terminations and settlement calculations; provide support in payroll-accounting activities and reconciliations.
You will drive priorities and initiatives in automation in the daily and monthly payroll reporting processes, collaborating with relevant stakeholders. You will assist in developing strategies to ensure that payroll and client service information is accurately generated and efficiently communicated. Furthermore you will act as a thought partner with the other departments or cells regarding any payroll related issues, as well as coach and develop junior colleagues, as appropriate.
