Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior People and OD Business Partner to join our expanding team at NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership (NWSSP).
Do you want to make a difference and support the NHS in Wales?
Are you interested in taking a jump into a new sector and working with some fantastic people across the whole of Wales?
Do you have a fresh perspective and want to learn?
Or are you just looking for a change?
We’re about people and we’re interested in your experiences and your potential. We are open to talking to you about what we have to offer and how we can work together.
We value diversity, inclusivity, agility and a willingness to work together. If you are curious about gathering different perspectives, enjoy working with people and trying to get the best for them, then we would love to see your application.
If any of these statements resonate, then this job is for you. Please do get in touch if you want to discuss the role in more detail.
Reporting to the Head of People Services, you will provide business partnering support to a number of our divisions and lead on a small number of projects related to our expanding role within NHS Wales.
A key focus of the role is managing a professional, effective and proactive relationship with Divisions, by understanding their key business drivers and priorities and providing an effective interface with the People and OD function to achieve these. You will also work closely with our Divisions to deliver a programme of continuous improvement and cultural change aligned to our values and behaviours.
The successful candidate will be joining us at an exciting time in our journey, as we take on more services on behalf of NHS Wales, associated with its “Once for Wales” work programme. We are looking for someone with experience of operating at a senior HR level; a track record in achieving substantial organisational change and successfully implementing complex people projects.
If you believe you have the necessary values, skills and experience, or you believe you have the potential to excel in this role, we would like to hear from you.
The ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
We have high standards and expect everyone to embrace our values of Listening & Learning, Working Together,
Taking Responsibility & Innovating, whilst ensuring trust, honesty and compassion are implicit in everything that
we do. We are adaptable, agile and flexible and pride ourselves on being a learning organisation - one where it
is safe to make mistakes, where blame is replaced by opportunity, learning and improvement. innovation is built
into everything that we do. We recognise our people regularly and have an Appreciation Station, to encourage
staff to applaud exemplary behaviour in one another, alongside an Annual Staff Recognition Award ceremony
aligned to our values. We respect and value our people and strive for a culture of compassion and inclusivity.
We are a bilingual organisation, and we have a team of Change Champions who advocate ‘This is Our NWSSP’
our principal change programme. Similarly, PROUD is our new staff network welcoming LGBT+ colleagues and
allies to come together in a safe space for discussions, event planning and the opportunity to build supportive
networks. We have a comprehensive benefits package where there is something for everyone, supporting health,
engagement and wellbeing and includes an Employee Assistance Programme. We have over 30 Mental Health
First Aiders and work in partnership with local and national organisations to ensure the well-being and resilience
of our people.
