- $90,199 – $101,022 + 15.4% super

Within the Organisational Development Program in the Enterprise Services Group, People Connect provides operational Human Resource (HR) recruitment, pay and conditions advice and services to the Bureau’s employees. We provide a digital channel (Cherwell) as the first point of contact for all support queries and incidents, with outstanding customer service. We serve the Bureau’s geographically interspersed workforce, and our work is interesting, challenging and varied.
The successful applicant will lead a team responsible for delivering pay and conditions services to Bureau of Meteorology employees across a geographically interspersed workforce. You will be responsible for daily operations of the team including workflow management, leave management, performance management, training and developing team members. You will be required to contribute to business improvement initiatives, the implementation and review of systems and the development of policies and procedures. The successful candidate will be expected to be the key support for the People Connect Lead and demonstrate critical thinking, problem-solving and influencing skills, assuming broader leadership responsibilities when required.
The successful applicant will be a payroll specialist with knowledge of APS pay and conditions along with demonstrated ability to manage a large and constant workload while adhering to quality standards and demanding time frames. The successful applicant will have demonstrated experience of leading and managing teams, a strong SAP HR background, well-developed communication and the ability to provide strong customer service delivery. The successful applicant will provide complex pay and conditions advice to the Bureau’s senior leadership cohort and employees.
An appreciation and understanding of broad APS or similar, human resource functions is highly desirable.
