Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive performance testing strategies for client software applications, including load, stress, soak, and scalability testing.
  • Design and execute performance tests, ensuring accurate simulation of real-world scenarios and user behaviours. Analyse and interpret test results to identify performance bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
  • Assess, review and validate all Non-Functional Test requirements.
  • Utilise performance monitoring tools to conduct in-depth profiling of applications, databases, and infrastructure components to identify performance bottlenecks and areas for optimisation.
  • Collaborate with development teams to provide actionable recommendations to optimise and tune application performance, including code refactoring, query optimisation, and resource allocation.
  • Conduct tests to evaluate application scalability by analysing its ability to handle increased loads and user traffic.
  • Develop and maintain automated performance testing scripts, integrating them into the continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipeline and providing associated reporting and trend analysis.
  • Communicate performance testing progress, results, and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.
  • Initiating the use and deployment of a broad range of tools, including open source and commercial options.
  • Line Management of Performance Test Engineers.
  • Contribute to the development of the 2i Non-Functional Test Chapter.
