About the RoleThe purpose of this role is to deliver high level clinical pharmacy and production related services within cancer services. This includes:

  • Delivering high-level clinical pharmacy services to patients with cancer receiving treatment at the Eight Mile Plains Satellite hospital and other satellite hospitals under the governance the PAH Division of Cancer Services and to actively contribute to the multidisciplinary Cancer Services Team in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards.
  • Applying professional judgement and evidence-based practice to complex, discipline specific and multidisciplinary clinical decisions within a tertiary referral oncology-haematology service.
  • Undertaking high level pharmacist duties with infrequent need for direct clinical practice supervision.
  • Monitoring and reporting on work practices and outcomes, including initiating, planning and evaluating relevant quality and research initiatives

This position will be required to work offsite at the Eight Mile Plains Hospital satellite and other satellite sites as needed. The position may also be required to work at the Cancer Services Pharmacy and the Sterile Production Centre and travel between sites.
