Description:

One permanent full time post - 37.5hrs across 7 days.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work at HMP Bedford in Pharmacy Team. We provide an integrated healthcare model working closely with primary care and the mental health and G.P. teams.
We are seeking to appoint 1 pharmacy technicians with a wide range of experience to join our pharmacy team, the successful candidate will demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of local/national pharmacy procedures.
HMP Bedford is a Category B male prison located in Bedford. The prison is operated by His Majesty’s Prison Service and is a local remand.

The successful candidate will benefit from an extensive supernumerary induction period, alongside regular supervision and appraisals and be encouraged to undertake training so why not drop us a line and come and have a look around.
The post holder will work as an active member of the healthcare team to ensure the delivery of a legal, safe, high quality pharmaceutical service, which includes physical health, mental health and substance misuse medications to patients within HMP Bedford. The service will reflect National and Local Policies and Priorities, taking into account the level of security that must be maintained at all times.
The successful candidate will have responsibility for completing accurate medicines reconciliations, the safe and timely administration of medication and general responsibilities relating to medicine management, ensuring a complete medicines management service is provided to the patients.
The successful candidate will be innovative, forward thinking, diverse and can work autonomously, you will also need to demonstrate excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
