Description:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic physiotherapy assistant to join the outpatient team at Nottingham City Hospital.
The role is to provide assistance and support within the Rehabilitation Gymnasium as directed by registered physiotherapists.
You will be required to assist patients in their treatment programmes under the guidance and supervision of physiotherapists. Upon successful completion of training competencies, you will independently assess and treat patients who have undergone a joint replacement.
The role also includes clerical, administrative and housekeeping tasks. The area of work is team based but may change on a regular basis in line with service demands
This post would be ideal for somebody already working as a physiotherapy assistant who would like the opportunity to develop their skills in an outpatient setting.
The team is looking for a motivated and organised physiotherapy assistant to support patient care in an outpatient environment. They must show the ability to be flexible within their working day and show initiative with their caseload, being mindful of the wider teams needs and workload. A desire to help people in their recovery and motivate them to reach their potential is a key part of this role.
You will support the physiotherapist to provide exercise programmes to patients and you will be responsible for your own caseload of patients. You will independently assess and treat patients who have undergone a joint replacement.
You will be able to prioritise clinical and non-clinical tasks. Proven team skills are essential for this role, as is the ability to work independently. Basic IT skills are essential.
Previous experience of working as a physiotherapy assistant and in the NHS is essential. Good interpersonal communication skills are required along with the ability to motivate and encourage patients with physical needs.
This role involves working weekends and bank holidays.
