YOUR ROLE

The Senior Planner will be responsible for monitoring and managing inventory levels and effectively planning for future demands and necessary production levels for the Sperry brand. For this reason, they must possess a strong knowledge of the broader supply chain processes. As a Senior Planner you will be called upon to take on and/or be a part of larger projects or taskforces. As such, they must possess strong analytical and communications skills with the ability to transform data into insight for presenting to leadership and cross functional partners.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coordinates the Global purchasing process to ensure on-time deliverables to all markets, while striving to have better business understanding and increased efficiencies.
• Executes purchasing plans to meet Sales and Operating goals.
• Recommends resolutions to resolve supply issues to maximize on-time delivery.
• Executes the tracking and adjustments in response to a variety of supply and demand inputs.
• Analyze the global buys against production requirements to achieve maximum sales with minimal inventory exposure (i.e., dropped styles, minimum buy management).
• Works with Sourcing to manage delivery issues (i.e., delays, constraints) and communicates all relevant issues to all parties involved.
• Executes decisions that have been made on product flow to support inventory management objectives and to satisfy customer requirements.
• Creates new or improved excel templates and works to improve current processes and best practices as needed by the business.
• Responsible for complex projects and proposes strategies and solutions, recommendations, and action plans.
• Serves as a role model to their peers and has a supporting role in training.
• Leads testing efforts and makes recommendations/proposals on improvements or business strategy change.
