Description:

DEVELOPING STANDARDIZED CODE & DEVELOPMENT TOOLS, INCLUDING:

  • Creating PLC/HMI/Diagnostic Libraries (AOIs, FBs, UDT, Faceplates, etc.)
  • Creating Quality Check Tools – used to validate that standards were properly executed.
  • Creating Processes for Standards deployment including input/outputs of deliverables and utilizing check-in/check-out and sign-off procedures to ensure Quality and Timing Milestones are met.
  • Advanced software-related tasks such as System Architecture Design and standards development.
  • Hands-on tasks including system process improvements and advanced recoveries.
  • May also lead a team of 3-5 people.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • PLC Programming.
  • Rockwell - Studio5000, RSLogix 5.
  • Siemens - TIA Portal V15+, Step 7.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a controls-related field (Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent).
  • At least five years of applicable experience in an industrial environment that includes design, debugging, startup, and production-reading of industrial control equipment.
  • Must have knowledge of multiple customer platforms. Experience must include complete knowledge of the full project lifecycle.

Engineering teams are responsible for the design and integration of control systems for customer applications and processes. Duties may include and are not limited to PLC and HMI programming, network design, system commissioning, system support, internal/external training, and technical consultation. Areas of focus are control standardization.
