Description:
A unique opportunity exists for a talented and passionate individual to join the Aboriginal Land Rights team as Senior Policy & Project Officer. This role will contribute to the ground-breaking work of the Group in the areas of truth, Treaty, self-determination and cultural rights.
The First Peoples - State Relations Group supports an extensive program of priority work with First Peoples, applying a strong understanding of self-determination to our work practices and in providing clear and robust advice to the Minister for Treaty and First Peoples, Premier, Cabinet and senior executives within the Group.
As the Senior Policy & Project Officer, you will lead production of and deliver high quality, strategic, clear, evidence-based and solution-focussed policy advice and work outputs for the branch and departmental senior executives, Ministers and the Premier. You will also support delivery of a whole-of-government approach to Treaty in Victoria, by ensuring opportunities to progress Treaty are realised, and developing and coordinating stakeholder discussions and forums.
