ABOUT THE ROLE
This role sits within our Technology and Transformation division, which is charged with the transformation of our business and the running of our technology systems.
Reporting to the PMO Manager you will play a critical role to support them and the team to grease the wheels of delivery, understand what is really going on and to keep things running like a well-oiled machine.
You will guide the PMO Manager to where they need to be, avoiding risks and knowing when crucial decisions need to be made. You effectively develop trusted relationships with internal and external delivery partners at all levels and you use your business and commercial acumen and general savvy to navigate across the organisation to get things done.
In this role you will get to:
- Guide and support the Project Managers in project initiation; from the processes to follow, the Project Minimum standards expected and the templates to use.
- You will make sure the basics are done and done well. That means working and coaching your Project Managers and delivery colleagues to ensure risks and issues are written properly, minutes, actions and decisions are recorded, features and KPIs are updated and maintained, and delivery data is accurate and up to date in the tool.
- Understand what is really going on across and in your Charter delivery teams and use this information to support the PMO Manager in Charter and PCB packs; update and maintain the Charter roadmap (Plan on a Page) and key achievements.
- You consistently demonstrate the delivery culture we want and display these behaviours and you are on a relentless pursuit of removing waste and inefficiency in our delivery eco-system. You can spot a badly written risk or issue a mile away, ensure the appropriate capability and attitude to risk management is in place. You know good risk management is just good management.

To be successful in the role you will have:
- Knowledge and experience in PMO services and tools used to support complex transformational change activity, including:
- Project accounting, financial budgeting, and forecasting.
- Lean Governance and Status reporting.
- Effective delivery risk and issue management and effective implementation of mitigations and controls.
- The ability to work with multiple stakeholders at all levels to quickly build collaborative working relationships.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to synthesise information and articulate insights and key messages for relevant audiences.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint and advanced skills in using delivery management and collaboration tools such as JIRA, Confluence and Mural
